Okay so this lovely lake house does not have a beach, but a seawall. Yet, visiting this home feels just like an escape to a beach resort. I love the beach flair and how it is done in a non-traditional way. Instead of blues and greens, it is done with a more neutral palette. Sort of a Tommy Bahama feel. Take a gander at this amazing space and maybe you will find this is the spin on beach decor that suits you!
The Living Room
This room has lots of texture as does the whole house
An old trunk used as a coffee table
The Dining Room
A sailboat painting done by her grandmother passed down through the generations
The Master Bedroom
An antique printers tray filled with shells
The Family Room
A shelf built from an old shutter
(In another area of the room there is a screen made from old shutters)
Basket suitcases given by an old family friend
The pictures of the girls in bathing suits, done by Jan Danov, are framed greeting cards.
How do you like this spin on beach decor? Is this style more fitting for you? Finding what suits you is part of the fun in decorating!
This amazingly decorated home belongs to my husband’s parents! Thanks so much to both of you for allowing me to share your beautiful home.
