Hello again all you lovely people!! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed your Mother’s Day! I had a nice and relaxing weekend and also celebrated my first Mother’s Day, so that was very exciting. It was also my birthday on the 9th! The hubby surprised me with a 1 hour massage at a spa, flowers, a card from him and my 5.5 month old daughter, and then dinner at Red Lobster…yum…I had crab legs! On Mother’s Day we went to his mom’s where I proceeded to shove my face with lobster, prime rib, bread, and other good stuff…so much for my diet lol.
Here we are onto yet another week, and I am so thankful that God has given us yet another day. Today I’m going to talk about one of the loves of my life (I have many…don’t tell my husband) SHOES!!! Ahhh yes…shoes. Just saying the word is therapeutic. I don’t think any girl could ever have enough shoes, and if someone tells you otherwise they are very very wrong!
My love for shoes started a long time ago. Shoes are like art for my feet and they make me feel sexy. I’m not a huge fan of flats and I HATE tennis shoes; if I have to wear tennis shoes for anything other than working out you will hear me complain like a child (no joke lol). I swear I was born in heels, and the higher the better…maybe it’s because I’m short but heels are the best!
For the summer I’m all about wedges and bright colors! Wedges are great for women who aren’t comfortable walking in heels. They offer a lot more stability and support than a stiletto would offer.
Even though I’m not a fan of flats, I will wear them if I’m not in the mood for high heels. I always make sure that they are a little more dressy. I love these flats from Aldo shoes because of how cute and preppy they are!
We all know that summer calls for sandals and flip flops. While I do love flip flops, sometimes they can be a little sloppy looking. So instead of slipping those on, why not slip on a super chic pair of sandals? These are a great alternative to flip flops!
If you’re like me and are obsessed with high heels but want that extra stability without the bulkiness of a wedge opt for a platform! A platform shoes allows you to have the skinny back heel, but the chunky platform under your toes gives your feet extra support.
If you haven’t noticed already I am a huge fan of Aldo shoes!! I have heels, flats, and boots from there! Even though their prices are a little steep, their shoes last awhile because of the quality. If you’re looking to buy shoes at a decent price, you can also check out shoedazzle.com. I’m a member of the site, but still need to order a pair of shoes from there!
So whether you love flats or sky high heels remember to make a statement with them!
Thanks for reading and remember to rock everyday like it’s your runway!
