Hard to believe we made it through May — always a busy month! In an effort to not overwhelm myself with home projects this summer, I’ve already put together my To Do List for June. I plan to do one for each month, deliberately keeping it manageable. After all, I’d like to squeeze some sun and fun in there, too!
So here they are… and I’ll report back to you at the end of June, just to keep myself accountable. 🙂
1. Finish up the front yard beds.
I’ve got new rose bushes in and the containers replanted. All I need to do is prune back my boxwoods a bit and mulch the beds.
2. Polish up my front door hardware.
In sad shape, no? I may have to replace it, but I want to try to polish it up and salvage it first.
3. Paint house numbers on my front door.
I’m thinking right underneath the window is the perfect spot.
4. Get the porch ship shape.
Not very welcoming is it? I have an awesome bench, some cool planters and accessories, but nothing’s been done since the pollen was pressure-washed away.
5. Paint up this little chair to add to the mix on the porch.
I snagged it for a couple of bucks at a flea market and think it’s perfect for this look…
6. Paint the inside of the front door…
I’m still drilling down on the paint color, but I think this will make a huge difference!
So that’s the “official” list. I have lots of other little projects I’d love to get to, including some for my antiques booth, but I’m trying to not “overshoot the runway,” as my father would say.
My end of June post will update you on my progress… wish me luck. Now your turn: what’s on your To Do List this month?
