this weekend we celebrated our sweet Abigail’s birthday.
she is our sweet. affectionate. loving. BUSY. full of energy & kisses & crazy ideas and tenderness.
& of course, i HAVE to get crafty. so i pulled out boxes of paper, ribbon, scissors, buttons, felt & more to pull together some ideas!
we made some crowns, painted them & left out supplies for her Princess friends to decorate at the party:
then i had a few sweet little red paper lanterns from my son’s birthday, so after attempting a few tutorials, i ended up doing my OWN! yep, original to me & hopefully to you too! 😉
i cut circles out of about 4 sheets of felt and lined the lantern using a glue gun from top to bottom, overlapping all the way down!
i love the texture they added to our photos from having them placed around our home…
lastly, all little girls need wants. so for $1/4, we grabbed a few packs from the Target party section and added some washi tape, ribbon & baker’s twine. the kids LOVED them!
& just for fun — here is Abigail celebrating her birthday with a very special Texas sized cupcake & a few photos of our family from this weekend:
