One of my most favorite sermons my pastor has ever preached was about letting your faith bloom, so it’s a bit funny that this month’s theme is Burst into Bloom. I’m always working on letting my faith bloom, I think that’s something we work on our whole lives. So, exactly how do you let your faith bloom?
One way I let my faith bloom is too never stop learning the Word. I think that it doesn’t matter how many times you read the Bible front to back, there’s always more you can learn. The Bible can teach you so much, and the more you learn, the more your faith grows.
Another way is to grow your relationship with God. Talk to Him every day, pray to Him, have a constant conversation going with Him. He is your rock, your one true constant, and He’s always there. The closer you are to Him, the more your faith will bloom.
I also think you can grow your faith by sharing it with others. God’s word is so amazing, so why wouldn’t you others to know about it? Talk about your beliefs, your relationship with God, what you’re learning through reading the Bible. Let others see how your faith is blooming.
Our faith really is like a flower. If we neglect it, it wilts. But if we feed and nurture it, it blooms into a beautiful flower for all to see. God wants us to grow, to bloom. In 2 Peter 3:18 CEB, the Bible reads
“Instead, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him belongs glory now and forever. Amen.
So you have a choice, will your faith wilt, or will it bloom?
