With the happenings at Boston a lot more focus has been placed on races, but more so the spectators. Spectators were the people who were injured the most. All these innocent people, brutally injured, for doing what? Cheering people on.
Have you ever ran a race? Done something extremely challenging?
Encouragement is greatly needed along the way.
When competing in a race, seeing the sidelines littered with people who don’t even know you cheer you on, makes you push harder. Here are these people who sacrifice their morning, to watch people run. They joyfully create posters with funny sayings and words of encouragement You may even encounter a football team that will create a tunnel for you to run under as you near mile 11. The point is, spectators are the people who make a race.
But regardless if you run a race, we all need encouragement in life.
We all have embarked on a healthy living journey at some point in our lives. How uplifting is it when we received words of affirmation that we are succeeding?
Just a simple,
“You are looking good, keep it up!”
“What’s your secret?!”
“You’ve inspired me to get healthy!”
We love hearing these phrases. Here’s a flip to this, God loves giving these phrases! Our mothers and fathers on Earth love giving them too! We should love giving them too! Out of the kindness of our hearts and because we are encouraged by the greatest Encourager.
Here are 5 simple (there are so much more!) ways to encourage anyone you know who is trying to live healthy.
As daughters, as mothers, as sisters, and women who shine Christ’s light, let us go out and encourage all people around us!
And you don’t really have to do a race…but I highly suggest it 🙂
