Hey there friends!
I’m stitting pretty at 24 weeks pregnant right now. This is my second pregnancy, and our budget is super tight so I knew that I didn’t want to any huge investments in clothes this time around. I would especially love to limit maternity specific clothes altogether. However, most of my old maternity clothes just aren’t cutting it this time around. Why, you ask? Last pregnancy I loved the low elastic waistbands. I had them on everything. This time they make me absolutely crazy! As a matter of fact, anything that feels even remotely constricting makes me crazy.
So, I need affordable, multi-use clothes that basically feel like I’m not wearing clothes at all. Should be easy enough…ha!
God bless Old Navy.
I’m pretty much obsessed with their fold-over waistband jersey skirts andtheir Perfect Tami tank tops. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the maxi skirts! I’ve put together a few looks for you today that will work all summer, pregnant or not!
I’m actually wearing 3/4 of this outfit right now! Someday I’ll have those TOMS…This is one of my favorite throw-it-on-and-go outfits. The necklace is by Lisa Leonard, and was a Mother’s Day gift (aww….)
I love pairing a black skirt with a black tank. It gives the illusion of a Little Black Dress without the extra investment! Pair it with some cute wedges, a statement necklace, and some pretty bangles and you are good to go!
Off to Church
My friend wore this amazing tribal print maxi the other day and it is definitely on my must-buy list! Fun, but easy. Pair it with a plain white tank and a cropped cardigan. Comfy sandals are a must! I think this outfit is the perfect balance of dressy and casual.
All of these outfits meet my “maternity” requirements, but will still be perfect for after the baby. It’s so much easier to justify spending our very small budget when I know I will be wearing these clothes for ages!
Side note: This post was in no way sponsored or endorsed by Old Navy. I just like them. A lot.
