This is short and sweet.
If you are anything like me, you have always had a love hate afraid with jeans. Jeans can one moment make you feel amazing when they go on effortlessly but then a couple of stores later they can become the most demoralizing, self confidence depleting item.
We woman can place such a value on a size and I know I frequently fall into this category. We may have a goal size (after all it is the new year) or a certain pair of jeans we once wore. We get so wrapped up in seeking these worldly number values that we forget to see how we are in Christ.
I won’t lie I feel slightly hypocritical writing this.
I’m a woman on a goal to get to that “certain” size.
However, I do see benefits from this as in health benefits. Lowering a bunch of health risks plus a dash of extra self confidence.
But I also see the harm this mentality can cause.
Jeans weren’t meant to cause unhealthy body hate. Our world has started that but we can end it as well.
You are more than a size.
You are more than a label.
You are more than an expectation.
Have goals and reach them but don’t obsess.
And love your butt, thighs and hips…they were created by God for you.
