Anyone else ready for warmer temps? It’s hard not to think about spring clothes when all the stores are getting rid of winter merchandise even though we’ve still got weeks and weeks of winter to go (ugh). But if you’re in the mood to do a little spring-clothes shopping, here are some trends that everyone will be trying:
Orange: Make it a statement piece or a subtle addition, orange is perfect day or night.
Statement earrings: Need an inexpensive and easy way to jazz up an outfit or make the everyday seem special? Throw on some costume jewelry earrings. Places like Forever 21, New York & Co., and Target have budget-friendly, colorful pieces for every wardrobe.
Pastels: Nothing screams spring more than pastels. And while I tend to think of cutesie Easter dresses my grandma made me when I was little, pastels on grown ups work if you do it right. Don’t go full-on pink, but use it as an accent. Or wear mint green on top and not on bottom (or vice versa), just not at the same time so you don’t end up looking like a Peep.
Graphic Prints: Go bold all over or with just one piece, there’s graphic print to fit every style. And if you’re afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something eye-catching, add a graphic print scarf or shoe to your normal attire for a little sass.
Floral: Kind of like the pastels thing, this one just feels right for spring (every year, really). You can’t really go wrong with this trend as long as you love it and it makes you feel good. Big or small print, bright or muted colors, all-over floral or just a hint, wear what makes you feel fresh.
Sheer, crop tops, and fringe are also big according people that know more things than I do. But personally, I’d stay away from those. What do you think? Which spring trend is your favorite? Any you wouldn’t try? Remember: not every trend needs to make its way into your wardrobe, style has a lot to do with what you wear, but it also has to do with what you don’t wear.
