The first site I came across that offered “flash” sales (short-lived sales, limited quantities of select pieces) was One Kings Lane. This site caught my eye and my interest, because it was founded by two women with incredible radars for stylish decor.
Each sale is delivered to my inbox and lasts for two to three days at a time. At any point in time, they may have five to seven sales going on. It can be furniture, rugs, table top items, gift ware, books, accessories…all deeply discounted. They are always on trend with truly unique finds you won’t find in the aisles of Target, TJ Maxx, or in the Pottery Barn catalog. They routinely tap the design sensibilities of some leaders in interior design for fresh offerings. I’ve loved every single thing I’ve ever purchased from them (check out my most recent score here)! Another favorite flash site of mine is Joss and Main. Joss and Main operates similarly to One Kings Lane: email delivery of the sales that last for a limited time. What’s a little different about them is the wider variety of items for the home that they offer. Here you’ll find furniture, rugs, etc, too, but you’ll also find bedding, toys, towels, notecards. Good deals abound here as well! And I love their purple peacock logo — it just oozes style to me. They also have guest curators from the world of home decor that pull together collections. You would recognize many of your favorite home decor bloggers and designers here. Click HERE for your invitation to join.
While Wayfair has daily sales as well, they keep a constantly rotating inventory of discounted home decor items — it’s not just flash sales for a limited time. So you can go search for slipcovers, drapes, artwork and shop to your hearts content. If they don’t have what you’re looking for this week, check back in a few days. I’ve ordered several things from them and they are extremely conscientious with a great selection of affordable decor items.
I also frequent Hayneedle for my home decor needs.
Hayneedle operates very similarly to Wayfair and in fact, you may see many of the same items on their sites. They are always competitive with each other, BUT you may find something on sale on one that’s not on sale on the other. It pays to shop around!! I also love their Style Galleries where you can view rooms staged and decorated with different styles and even shop directly from there. So smart and takes the guesswork out of finding that perfect piece.
A newer site that’s fresh and fun with a modern sensibility is Dot & Bo. I discovered them a couple of weeks ago, and out of curiosity signed up for their emails. And I am loving the mid-century and industrial chic items! They aren’t typically what appeals to me and yet I have found several things that I would love to incorporate into my home. New sales launch every day at 9am, so you’ll want to sign up for their daily email blast. That way you won’t miss out on the fun! Click HERE to sign up!
And now my latest guilty pleasure: Online Fabric Store. I was so blessed to meet these gals last summer at the Haven Conference! Their scope of beautiful fabrics and customer service is a breath of fresh air if you’re in the market for fabric. And their prices? Very affordable AND they frequently offer discount coupons to their email subscribers, plus free shipping on orders over $50. I could browse their site for hours. All the freshest designs and colors, shop by color or brand, decor fabric or craft fabric, apparel fabric or general purpose fabric — they’ve got it ALL. Follow their blog and social media outlets for inspiration and the latest deals, too.
So those are my five favorite budget-friendly online shopping sites. As I said, this is a shifting landscape and I’m seeing new (to me, at least) names every week it seems. And I’m sure you know of some I haven’t heard of! So now it’s your turn– Where do you find the best deals online?
