Spring is finally here to stay and I am more than ready. After a long, harsh winter, I can’t wait for more sunny days, chirping birds, and longer days spent outside. There is just something about the newness of a season, especially spring, that makes me incredibly happy.
Spring feels like a fresh start. For us, this fresh start will be moving to a new-to-us home. I have been cleaning out closets, organizing, purging, donating items we don’t use, and making lists upon lists. It’s amazing how much better a deep clean feels in a home! Getting that winter dust out of the house, opening the windows, and conquering something each day motivates me and inspires me.
There is something about the feeling of new. The feeling of refreshment and anticipation is really something, isn’t it? It begins to be something that I crave. We have known about our move for several months, and now that it is getting closer, I am craving change. Craving a new space to decorate, new routines, and a fresh start. However, as much as I crave change from time to time, I mostly like residing in what is constant. Isn’t is so wonderful that God is never changing and always present?
As we prepare this week for Easter and the resurrection of Christ, I hope you take some time to reflect on the meaning behind this season and how thankful we are that in the midst of the ever changing seasons of life, His love and presence remains the same.
