As soon as the weather get’s cool, I start craving soup! It’s a tricky matter in my house because my husband is super picky about his soups. (Souper picky? No. Heather…just stop!) Broth based soups aren’t filling enough for him. Basically it needs to immediately clog your arteries to be acceptable. I want soup way too often to play that game, so I keep trying to find happy mediums. This is a great list!
1. Creamy Chicken and Corn Chowder from Cooking Classy
I love corn chowder! This one has chicken and peppers and bacon! Everything is better with bacon.
2. Crockpot Beef Stew from Family Fresh Meals
I don’t care who you are, a good, hearty beef stew will fill you up! One that sits in the crock pot all day? Even better!
3. Bacon Double Cheeseburger Soup from Closet Cooking
Yay! More bacon! I’ve made this soup before and it is delicious! Hearty, and yummy, and full of all sorts of cheeseburger-y goodness!
4. Chicken and Dumplings from The Well Fed Newlyweds
Any time I roast a chicken or buy a rotisserie one from the store, I make chicken and dumplings later that week. I usually just make dumplings out of Bisquick and milk, but these sour cream dumplings sound really good!
5. Slow Cooker Creamy Tomato Soup from Cincy Shopper
I am a sucker for grilled cheese and tomato soup! It gets even easier with the soup builds flavor all day in the crock pot!
Now, all you have to do is curl up and enjoy a bowl!
