Hey there lovelies!! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! We sure did!! The hubby, little one and I went to a parade and then we spent the rest of the day relaxing in our house. It was over a 100 out so we kept our little booties in the AC!
I love love looove summer! I’m all about keeping my summer fashion effortless and cool. I already have to worry about my hair and makeup melting in the heat, so my fashion should be the last thing that I want to worry about!
This year loose fitting clothes are my best friend! I usually don’t wear loose fitting clothes, but this year my style is a little different because number 1 I still have a belly from having a baby 7 months ago 🙁 and number 2 it’s really comfy!
My fave look for summer are loose fitting dresses made with light weighted fabric. I wore this dress to a wedding, I also love the style!
The other thing I love about summer fashion are all of the prints that come out!! I am obsessed with stripes!! If I could wear them everyday and have them all over my house I would, but people would probably think that I was crazy!! Find a print that you love and work it! It can be an all over print or something that is just accented, like a purse.
Last but not least BRIGHT fun colors will spruce up any look! Not only do they make you feel great I think it’s an effortless way to say HEY IT’S SUMMER!!!
I mentioned before that all of my clothes this year are loose fitting. I’ve only shown you dresses, but the style applies to all of my shirts too. If you are like me and want to hide your tummy, make sure that your dress or shirt pulls in at your waist which is the smallest part of your body, and then flows away from your body below the waist. You will instantly have a smaller looking waist line and will be able to hide your “flaws.”
