I made some fresh lemonade a couple of weeks ago that my family and I enjoyed on the porch after doing some yard work. We were hot and tired and the lemonade was so refreshing. We were enamored with it’s simple deliciousness and started dreaming up other drinks that we might enjoy. We decided that orange had to be at the top of the list.
Today I have big plans to clean out our basement, so I know a tall glass of the orange cherry water I just put in the refrigerator will be so refreshing later. To make it, I just rolled an orange under the palm of my hand on the counter to get the juices flowing, sliced it and tossed it in a 1/2 gallon pitcher. I cut a handful of cherries in half and plucked out the pits. They also went in the pitcher and then I filled it with water. Let it steep for at least thirty minutes and then enjoy!
What a great way to savor the tastes of summer. I look forward to trying watermelon water in the near future. What fruit infused waters will you be trying?
