“do not fear, for i am with you.” isaiah 41:10
our God certainly is with us, so we shouldn’t fear taking a little risk with our wardrobe. no one is going to laugh at you or tell you you’re not cute so come on, let’s play with tucking it in!
last week was an experimental one for me. my usual m.o. for this shirt is in its traditional form. worn out and pulled down to cover up whatever (hips, bootay, you know, how it’s usually comfortable).
but i felt like it needed something different, a twist.
so…..wait for it……..i tucked it in!!! (but only in the front.) don’t wanna get tooooo crazy just yet!
worn with gray capri’s from old navy and an old and everyday white woven belt with grommets.
thanks as always to my wonderfully helpful photographer, gibson. he’s so patient with me. and also, i just noticed that my necklace is turned around in all these…good thing i got a close up of it’s super cuteness!
accessories: pewter earrings from michael’s and a handmade necklace from r.h.i. jewlery.
you can even tuck in button up shirts. again, i only tucked in the front to show off the belt. when it gets colder, a pair of camel boots would be perfect instead of the flats.
here’s a closeup of the top i found at old navy last winter. it’s bold (which i love) and has so many colors that i already keep stocked in my closet.
tried a super high bun with straight bangs. i like how it complimented the outfit. kinda out of the box and different for me. i got tons of compliments at work too!
dipping into the past a bit here to show you some more ways to tuck it in…
tucked all the way in with a skirt and belt:
tuck in your shirt with a studded belt and jeans:
how about a t-shirt tucked into a long skirt with a belt:
YOUR HOMEWORK: not sure how to avoid being completely obvious here, but TUCK IT IN!
find something that you’d normally wear out and tuck it in. with a belt or without, just try it. try it, try it and you may, try it and you may i say.
enjoy your week!
