If there is one thing I claim to be, it is a Baker. Without hesitation. If there is one thing I know, its gifts for bakers. I absolutely love using wooden spoons to mix and scrape and stir, but they sure aren’t anything fancy to look at…. until today!!!
Do you give Valentines gifts? This is perfect for any lady in your life, not just the baking ones.
The best part? This takes less than 20 min. Not even kidding.
If you are planning on gifting these I recommend using brand new spoons. If these are for yourself just grab the spoons in your drawer!
Three steps.
1. Tape your spoons at the appropriate length. (I guestimated)
2. Paint spoon handles.
3. Let dry.
At this point you may be done.
I, on the other hand, prefer a little pizzazz in my kitchen.
You will need crafting scissors and sparkles for this step.
I actually used a sparkly nail polish. It worked perfectly.
1. Cut your paper tape in half long ways
2. Starting at the base of the spoon handle tape off the bottom, leave a little space, align the tapes edges.
3. Paint ONLY between the tape.
4. Immediately peel off tape. You do not want the pain to dry, it will stick to your tape and come right off.
There you have it, your very own painted wooden spoons. Now go make a delicious batch of double chocolate brownies!
For gifting these cute little spoons just add them to a bag of cookie mix and cookie cutters.
These aren’t just for Valentines day though. How cute would these be painted green with shamrock cutters??
