i’m ready for Spring.
now, please bear with me… when you find out that i live in Southern California and our weather rarely gets below 50 during the day or 38 at night!! but the flu, sick, cold season still hits us. and this year is no different. our whole family was sick this past week and we soaked in every second of our 2, 78 degree days. we sat in the sun while the kids played in their bathing suits at the water table at 10am.
but i’m still itching for warmer weather all the time. not just 2 random days every other week! yes, i’m still thankful…. just in a different way than those of you stuck in a winter wonderland!
so, naturally i’ve been soaking in all of the lovely spring-centric DIY’s for when the weather gets warmer, the garden is ready for seeds and i’m eager to create something! here are 8 of my favorite finds!
short sleeved tees with lots of ruffles from All Things Heart & Home
DIY Paper Cherry Blossoms from the Happy Happy Nester
genius? right? mason jars are a staple in this house and i love this idea of adding a bit of chicken wire to help keep the flowers upright in these lovely little vessels. thank you Always Nesting for such a useful idea!!
STUNNING moss wreath with a sweet little bird & nests from All Things Heart & Home. i am in LOVE with this wreath and will be sporting it on my front door as soon as i feel the warmth is coming to say!
i cannot fully explain my love for this BUT i will be hanging a coat rack, galvanized buckets full of luscious flowers and some sweet little sconces full of candles on our fencing this spring. right next to our outside heat lamp and cozy bench!! no link to this beauty, so if it’s know who it belongs to, let me know {rule #1: always watermark your photos so you can be properly credited for this lovliness!!}
yep! spray paint those odd-gray folding chairs to something lovely!! i adore these colors and yet, i will likely either paint mine all the same color OR somehow convince my husband too. me + spray paint is not always good. i will leave these to a pro. full tutorial over at The Moon & Me.
so super sweet, right? our rainy season should be over in a few weeks << it’s literally raining cats & dogs right now >> and then abigail and i will take my stash of fancy fabrics, pinking shears & twine and string some of these up. in an opposite corner of those darling buckets you just peeked at above!
lastly, i am so inspired by these sweet photos. i will now be looking to find the perfect setting to host a little beach picnic. doesn’t this just make you want to breath in the ocean?
who’s ready for spring? yep, me too.
off to the hardware store for some galvanized buckets & bright colored spray paints. joann’s for sheets of moss. & then just waiting for a warm week to be outside every afternoon.
